Students

Welcome to the Center for Civic Leadership!

We offer a range of courses and experiential opportunities designed to develop your civic leadership capacities throughout your four years at Rice and beyond. Our programs are open to all Rice undergraduates and tiered in three levels, LEARN-ACT-CREATE CHANGE, to ensure that you progressively and intentionally build your leadership knowledge and skills. If you desire greater depth and intentionality in your leadership development, consider pursuing the Certificate in Civic Leadership.

Programs
Here at the CCL we offer experiential opportunities that allow you to learn about complex social issues, explore how to engage as active members of society, and discover the mechanisms for creating sustainable change. Open to all majors. Here are some of our upcoming programs:

Advising
The Center for Civic Leadership Staff and Peer Ambassadors provide student advising across all program levels. The CCL assists students in developing civic skills and reflective capacities through one on one meetings, structured reflection curricula, and cohort activities. In addition to the program-specific advising that staff and student leaders provide, there are several formal advising resources.
