The Center for Civic Leadership is committed to supporting high impact civic and community-engaged learning opportunities for Rice students. We are excited that you are integrating community-facing components to your course and/or your research.

Resources available through the CCL include (but are not limited to):

  • Assistance identifying community partners

  • Support for developing partner relationships and projects

  • Funding for student travel

  • Funding for background checks if required by organizations

  • Speaker fees or gifts

  • Parking permits for partners

  • Peer mentor support – CCL ambassadors and peer mentors to advise or inspire your students

  • Graduate assistant training and support

  • Event support (student presentations to community partners, convening stakeholders, etc.)
