We offer a range of courses and experiential opportunities designed to develop your civic leadership capacities throughout your four years at Rice and beyond. Our programs are open to all Rice undergraduates and tiered in three levels, LEARN | ACT | CREATE CHANGE, to ensure that you progressively and intentionally build your leadership knowledge and skills. If you desire greater depth and intentionality in your leadership development, consider pursuing the Certificate in Civic Leadership.

Courses

Advising
The Center for Civic Leadership Staff and Peer Ambassadors provide student advising across all program levels. The CCL assists students in developing civic skills and reflective capacities through one on one meetings, structured reflection curricula, and cohort activities. In addition to the program-specific advising that staff and student leaders provide, there are several formal advising resources.

Fellowships
The CCL offers one-on-one advising, information sessions, and workshops to support students in developing competitive applications. Through fellowships advising, we seek to build upon your academic and leadership experiences to identify undergraduate and post-baccalaureate opportunities that best meet your future goals.
