Civic Leadership and Fellowships Advising

CCL staff advisers are available online for consultations. Advising hours are held Monday through Friday, year-round, including the summer.

Students can make an appointment to ask questions, discuss a work-in-progress, or get feedback on drafts.

What Advisors Do

CCL advisors do not give grades or make selection decisions. However, they can guide you in identifying which fellowship opportunities may be a good fit for you, exploring approaches and styles to your fellowship essay writing, provide feedback and tips for interviews, and much more. 

You can make an advising appointment at any point in your journey! We support students through the full trajectory of your education and post-graduate planning. From first years looking to get involved, to seniors and alumni applying for fellowships and other post-graduate opportunities. Across the board, the easiest way to find out if we can help you, is to just to make an appointment and have a chat!

How to Make an Appointment

You can book appointments during our advising hours. While signing up for a 15-minute appointment is encouraged, it’s not a requirement. You can sign up for an appointment​ here.

If the advising hours listed do not fit your schedule, please email the advisers directly to find a more suitable time. Click the adviser's name to access their email. If you'd rather meet in person, feel free to email the advisor to schedule an appointment.

To ensure a productive and professional online space for our staff and students, logging into Zoom office hours requires a verified Zoom sign-in. Office hours are automatically recorded on the off-chance that an unauthorized user accesses and disrupts the session. You may request recording to be paused when you are admitted from the waiting room. All recordings are deleted at the conclusion of advising hours, with the exception of unauthorized activity that needs to be reported.
