Through the generous support of the Ross Rankin Moody fund and Walter Loewenstern, Rice class of 1958, undergraduate students are provided funding, preparation, and mentorship to conduct global civic internships outside of the United States during the summer.
Moody International Changemakers discuss concepts of civic STEM, science communication, and participate in community-engaged STEM internships. Loewenstern Fellows participate in community-engaged internships across a range of social issues. Together, these students make up a cohort of interns who explore global civic engagement through a two-credit pre-departure course before their summer abroad. During this course, the students initiate conversations with their partner organization to prepare for their summer work.
