The Certificate in Civic Leadership is a means of helping bring intentionality, advice, and support to students' progress through a wide variety of integrated academic and community-based leadership, research, and service activities. Ultimately, completion of the certificate represents that a student has developed core competencies that prepare them to exercise leadership in a variety of roles as an active citizen.
Requirements :
- One 3-credit leadership course.

- One 3-credit social issue course.

- One CCL immersion program (LEARN level).

- Civic Leadership Capstone course (Fall & Spring 3 credit courses).
- Completed portfolio with application and reflections.
Timeline :
- Capstone projects may be completed either Junior or Senior year.
- Must declare intent to pursue certificate in the spring semester prior to starting the Capstone course (email certificate advisor to set up a meeting in order to declare)
- Formal application to the certificate program due in August prior to the start of Capstone.
