Civic Career Series: Building Knowledge and Skills in Civic Professionalism
The Center for Civic Leadership, Office of Alumni Relations, Center for Career Development, Glasscock’s Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership and the Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are collaborating on a spring series for students to explore opportunities for careers in the civic realm. We believe students have identified a need for expanded access to career preparation beyond private sector and industry opportunities.
This spring we are hosting a series of workshops (goal setting, networking), panels, off-campus “crawls” and a facilitated networking event. These events are designed to give students exposure to alumni and professionals in a range of careers with civic orientations and to develop skills in framing their own experience and goals for such career opportunities.
