As the student body transitioned to online learning and the CCL began working from home, our 2019-2020 cohort eagerly reconnected to help us transform our programs and meet the changing needs of the Rice students. From holding Zoom info sessions to remote interviewing and reading service award applications, we cannot thank the 2019-2020 cohort enough for their adaptability and continued support of our mission. Thank you to outgoing members: Orlando Cervantes (Will Rice ’20), Carolyn Daly (McMurtry ’21), Ariana Engles (Lovett ’20), Rebecca Francis (Baker ’20), Sana Mohamed (McMurtry ’21), Johannah Palomo (Wiess ’20), Annum Sadana (Baker ’20), and Katherine Simmers (Baker ’20).
We are excited to welcome the 2020-21 ambassador cohort which will also include Carolyn Daly (McMurtry ‘21) joined by Preetham Bachina (Duncan ’21), Sumin Hwang (Sid Rich ’22), Saniya Gayake (Baker ’21), Christi Nguyen (Jones ’23), Sarah Swackhamer (McMurtry ’22), Daniel Wang (Hanszen ’21), and Emily Weaver (Jones ’22). The CCL staff is looking forward to navigating what is sure to be another interesting year with this capable new group on board!
