Hi all! My name is Kaylee Caudle, and I’m a senior at Hanszen studying Economics (I’m also a pre-law student!). I was first introduced to the CCL when I participated in CI before my freshman year, and have pretty much been locked in with the CCL ever since. My freshman year, I was a mentor for the America Reads program (an educational equity program), and then was a Student Coordinator for the program the following two years. I was also a Student Coordinator for CI the summer after my sophomore year, and this past summer I interned at LINK Houston (a transportation equity advocacy organization) through the LRME program! I’m currently part of the Civic Leadership Capstone and am looking forward to co-creating a project with a community partner that hopefully combines my love for economics with my interests in local policy, transportation equity, and environmental justice. I’ve loved having various opportunities with the CCL to turn knowledge about an issue into real, tangible action with community partners, and I want to help other students find CCL programs that enable them to take action to create positive change in the Houston community! If anyone has any questions about finding the program that is right for them, I’m happy to meet and can be reached at krc10@rice.edu :)
