Drop-In Advising, Civic Leadership and Fellowships
CCL staff advisers are available online for drop-in consultations. No appointments are necessary. There will be a wait room and staff will let you know when they will be able to see you during the hour or if you should schedule an individual appointment. Students are encouraged to drop in for any range of advising needs including:
- Pursuing fellowships
- Looking for civic & community-engaged opportunities
- Identifying goals & values
- Finding social justice-minded community at Rice
- Simply looking to learn more about who we are and what we do!
We support students through the full trajectory of your education and post-graduate planning. From first years just looking to get involved to seniors and even alumni applying for fellowships and other post-graduate opportunities. Across the board, the easiest way to find out if we can help you with what you need to just to drop in and have a chat!
Advising hours are held Monday through Thursday, at 4-5 pm Central Time, year round, including the summer. All advising hours are virtual and can be accessed through the same link which you can find here. If you prefer to meet in person, we're happy to schedule an appointment if you shoot us an email. If you're looking to meet with someone in particular, please see the schedule below which shows who you will normally see at each given drop in hour (subject to change as needed):
