CCL Volunteers

CCL Volunteers is an opportunity for students to spend a semester volunteering with a community organization in their area of interest, while learning about ethical community service.

The CCL arranges semester long volunteer opportunities wherein student groups are matched with an organization to volunteer weekly at, attend CCL trainings, conduct research, and gain experience and insight into social issues facing the Houston community.

Students are expected to volunteer with their organization 2-3 hours per week throughout the semester. Additionally, cohorts will meet for one hour every other week for reflection and sessions on critical service, social issues, and other methods of civic engagment, led by a staff member in the CCL.

All community partner sites are either accessible by public transportation or transportation cost will be covered by the CCL.
