Fellowship Workshops & Resources

The CCL will be hosting fellowship workshops Spring 2019 to provide better context for students as they navigate the fellowship process. During Summer 2019 the CCL will host Fellowship Fridays through FacebookLive to provide reminders and resources throughout the summer. 

Fellowship Workshops 
  • Personal Statement Workshop: Friday, March 28th from 2-4 in Miner Lounge 
  • Host Affiliation and International Connections Workshop: Friday, April 5 from 2-4 in Ley 2nd Floor Conference Room
  • Research and Program Proposals: Friday, April 12 from 2-4 in Miner Lounge
  • Drop-In Session: Friday, April 19 from 2-3:30 in Miner Lounge 
For those specifically interested in the Marshall Scholarship, the CCL will be hosting a Roundtable with Ryan Roark, a Visiting Studio Professor,  (https://arch.rice.edu/people/faculty/ryan-roark) on Tuesday, April 9 from 2-3 in the Honors Council Conference Room, which is on the 2nd floor of the RMC, above the Grand Hall. On Wednesday, April 17th from 12:10-12:50, the CCL will be hosting “Letters of Recommendation: A Faculty Perspective”

Fellowship Fridays 

Starting on Friday, May 31st, the CCL will be hosting Fellowship Fridays through Facebook Live. These short sessions will serve as complementary resources to students considering or going through the fellowship process. Please join us for our first Facebook Live on Friday, May 31st at 1pm central time to learn more about the plans for the summer with topics ranging from seeking out recommenders to dealing with writer’s block. Facebook live posts will continue through Friday, August 2nd and will be recorded for later viewing.  We look forward to engaging with you all.
