Civic Research Fellows (CRF) is an Act level program that offers students a summer opportunity to complete an independent research based project related to a social issue or with a partnering organization of the Center for Civic Leadership that students have worked with previously. Projects are defined by the student, in consultation with CCL staff and community partners, and executed over the course of the summer at 40 hours per week. CRF is envisioned as a bridge between Act level engagement and a Create Change Capstone experience in that it prepares students for bringing their academic skills to bear on behalf of a social issue and demonstrates the role academic work plays in civil discourse on social issue. As such, only students who have completed an Act Level Program within the CCL, or comparable experience, are eligible to apply.
